Whelp, it's out! (nope, we're not expecting any new family additions) But the lens I ordered for C arrived today and I couldn't really wait till her birthday to give it to her.
It wasn't even a minute after she took it out of the bag, that she was out of her classroom and snapping photos.
It's just like the one kinsiekins's just recently purchased. (S, you're going to loooove it) I used to think the 24-70mm was big and heavy... the 70-200mm is a monster!
I won an auction for this lens on Wednesday evening and received it today. That was only TWO days ago!
The optics are way better than the kit lens that came with it (although it also costed me an arm & leg). I'm so excited I get to play with it this weekend!
Last May I flew up to a conference in Santa Clara. I made the huge mistake of leaving the bag in the car while having dinner. Car was broken and the company laptop and my personal camera were stolen. I finally picked up a replacement wednesday from a guy on craigslist.
Let's play with the new toys! Makes me think in the late 80's / early 90's when people used to take pictues of themselves around their house.
