This past weekend C & I met up with a few of her teacher colleagues to go to The Getty, (she's going to different places around SoCal for a class to get teacher units).
I had a lot of fun. Took a few pictures. I'm still figuring out this whole f stop/ apeture, iso thing. Now I understand the whole "It's all about lighting". Even thought the people are smiling in the picture, it still looks so depressing.
To help combat my lighting problem, I'm testing out this program.. Adobe Lightroom. It works really well enhancing pictures like fixing exposures and white balance. There are a TON of features, so I'm just using some of the basic default commands right now.
We had lunch at our favorite Sushi restaurant on the west side... Hide (pronounced "hee deh"). Then headed to PinkBerry a block away. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty good. Tastes kinda like those asian yogurt drinks in ice cream form. I guess it has significantly less calories (25 calories / 1 oz) compared to ordinary ice cream.
And they come in 5 / 8 / 13 oz sizes, so 125 / 200 / 325 calories respectively.
Oh wait, maybe because it has ZERO grams of fat?
I'd go there again, but only if I happened to be in the area.
