There should be some kind of workplace rule to know to NOT schedule any early morning meetings/conference calls on a Monday.  Everyone got onto the meeting relatively late and it didn't really get productive till a half hour into it. 

Last Thursday, I was running late leaving work. 

My commute to/from work is pretty far compared to most of my colleagues, so I don't like to linger around the office if I can help it.  Not to mention that small window of time in where my commute is the fastest (just after elementary/middle/high schools end, but before normal 9 to 5 employees get off of work). 

I was in a hurry.  Packed all my stuff, jumped in the car and started my drive home.  One slight problem. 
That day I was drinking water like a water buffalo, so I felt like I needed to pee.  I was in such a hurry to drive home, that I didn't do a #1.
The drive from Santa Monica to Downtown LA wasn't that great.  I had to take surface streets when I hit the Staples Center.  It was another 30 minutes till I got home, there were no gas stations immediately off the fwy either. 

I resorted to drastic measures.  I stopped my car on the side of the street and grabbed an almost empty bottle of Orange Powerade in my trunk.  There were pedestrians so I didn't stay parked.  I had to do what I had to do.  The rest of my drive was awesome.  =)

It so happened that I arrived home just after the wife.  She was standing at our gate when I got out of my car.  I walked right passed her and threw away the full bottle.  She had this really confused look... OMG she knew! 
I told her the whole story.
